About the Author
Susan Polis Schutz is an accomplished writer, poet, documentary filmmaker, and advocate for women s issues, the elderly, and dispelling the stigma of mental health illnesses. She is the author of many best-selling books of poetry illustrated by her husband, Stephen Schutz, including To My Daughter with Love on the Important Things in Life, which has sold over 1.6 million copies. Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, she and Stephen created a small book of Susan s poetry and Stephen s artwork entitled One World, One Heart that was distributed free to over 7 million people. Susan s poems have also appeared in countless national and international textbooks, magazines, and newspapers. She is perhaps best known for her unique ability to put her personal experience into words that people everywhere can identify with. Her writings are highly relatable and resonate in the lives of people around the world.

Another fantastic book from Susan

Susan Polis Schutz has done it again. I've been a fan of Susan's writing, including To My Daughter With Love, for years. In this wonderful book, she turns the lens inward in a revealing, poetic discussion of her bout with depression.
If you suffer from depression, or know somebody who does (most people do), then you will get something from Susan's latest book.

In-depth view of depression

This is a very good book. "It is not only for those going through drpression, but also for their family, friends, co-workers and loved ones. It is a great source of help using poetry who have been touched by this devastating illness." I would highly recommend this book.
