Exquisite Illustrations

Sarah Gibb's illustrations are fantastic. This is the third book of hers that I have purchased and the reason I buy them is because I love her illustrations. We also have Rapunzel and Beauty and the Beast. My daughters are big fans also (ages 5 and 9). These are favorites in our house. They are perfect gift books if you have a fairy-tale loving child in your life.

The illustrations are gorgeous - one of the reasons I purchased this book. Very similar to the original Brothers Grimm version, so not very appropriate for my 4-year-old daughter who loves all things pink and sweet and lovely. When I pick books for her, I'm looking for a few sentences per page. This is not that kinda book - LOTS of sentences, and a long story. I summarize the book when reading it with her, leaving out the scary parts. But we have enjoyed looking at the pictures often. Again, a beautifully illustrated book.

I really love this book

I really love this book. I am huge fan of fair tales and this one was awesome. There are many different versions of sleeping beauty but I have enjoyed this one the most. My favorite part of it is definitely the artwork. It is colorful and fun. It would be a great gift to give or if you are a fantasy lover like me, a great addition to your bookshelf.
